Frequently Asked Questions

“Can the mat be washed?”

Answer: Yes the cat mat can be washed. It's recommended to lift up the mat and carefully empty out excess litter between layers as shown. Spot clean with damp cloth or hand wash in warm water with mild detergent or dawn dish soap and air dry. Do not bleach. Most of the time, just knock out the old litter and only wash when needed.

“Is it difficult to pour out the litter inside the mat?”

Answer: It is not difficult at all. Be aware, however, that certain litters have a mixture of different sizes of materials in them making some litters slightly larger than the holes in the mat and stay on top of the mat. This doesn't present a problem as long as you don't turn the mat over before you want to dump it.

“What is the top layer material?”

Answer: The top layer is rubber and the bottom layer is made of a plastic, waterproof film that repels urine and odors.

“Is the mat safe on wood floors?”

Answer: Yes. However, it's imperative that you keep the mat completely dry. If your furry friend has an active bladder or poor aim I suggest placing a puppy pee pad below the cat mat.
